Grilled Teriyaki Chicken Thighs | The Lunch Box Series
Grilled Teriyaki Chicken Thighs
15 mins prepServes 4
A simple and delicious recipe for grilled chicken thighs marinated in a savory-sweet teriyaki sauce, perfect for a weeknight dinner. The recipe includes instructions for making the marinade and grilling the chicken to perfection.
In a large bag or bowl, mix together soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, brown sugar, rice vinegar, grated ginger, grated garlic, and sesame oil. Mix until sugar has dissolved. Feel free to reserve some sauce for later BEFORE adding the chicken to the bag or bowl.
If using a bag, make sure to fold down the sides so they stay clean. Add in chicken and squeeze out as much air as possible before sealing. Let marinate for a few hours but no more than 6.
Heat grill to 400 degrees and cook on each side for 5-6 minutes or until they reach 185 degrees inside. At this point you can cook down the sauce a little bit in a sauce pan. Drizzle on the rice and chicken before serving. I like to serve this with grilled pineapple, steamed Jasmine rice, and roasted broccoli.
